Boast in the Lord.

Boast in the Lord.

Then I had a vision. This time it was a vision of the ‘The Power Emoji’

And I asked the Lord, what does this vision mean? The Spirit of God said you must boast about the Lord your God. The Psalmist says ‘My soul will boast in the Lord; Let the afflicted hear it and rejoice’. Psalm 34:2.

Our God is Powerful. He is the Omnipotent God, The All-Powerful God. He has the power to make the impossible, possible. This is the God that we serve.

TESTIFY OF HIS GOODNESS

The Lord said to me, you must testify of my Power to do mighty things for you, so, others may know that I am a Good God who is compassionate. Our God works wonders for those who trust and believe in him and like to show off his Goodness. King David in the bible was special to God because he had a heart after God despite his glaring flaws like many of us.

King David, knew how to appeal to God’s heart. He sinned but ran to God for forgiveness. He said ‘Search me, Oh  God’. He boasted of His God; he knew how to sing and dance before God. King David made a boast of His God.

As children of the Most High God, we should make a boast of our God by showing to the World God’s Goodness and Grace.

GRACE AND THUNDER

Then I heard the voice of God say ‘I give you Grace o’… ‘I give you Thunder’.

When I researched the word grace from a biblical perspective, the word grace means a spontaneous gift from God to people- ‘generous, free and totally unexpected and undeserved ‘-that takes the form of divine favor, love, clemency, and a share in the divine life of God. Grace is an attribute to God that is most manifest in the salvation of sinners.

And on the other hand, Thunder is indicative of our Father’s anger or him telling his children that he is the Power above All things and to fear him with all our hearts and soul.

Therefore, my understanding of both messages from God is that he gives MAN generously, undeservedly but He is God; We must fear HIM, though Gracious as He is, He is Powerful and he can get angry too.

The bible says ‘Oh that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always so that it might go well with them and their children forever’. Deuteronomy 5:29

THE WRATH OF GOD

The fear of God involves people recognizing that he is A God that gets angry about sin and he has the power to punish those who break his righteous laws both in time and in eternity. Psalm 76: 7-8.

Sometimes God shuts the door on people. He stops warning people and He says ‘you want your sin keep it’. Sins of human nature, debauchery. Debauchery is the unrestrained indulgence in decadence or what might be considered ‘sinful’ behaviors. Examples of debauchery are excessive indulgence in sex, alcohol or drugs, pornography, drunkenness, stealing, wilful cursing, homosexuality, covetousness, etc,  he shuts the door and gives us over to our reprobate mind.

CONCLUSION

Our God is merciful, gracious, compassionate to the point that he sent his only son to die for our sins as the sacrificial lamb so that we could be saved; Our Lord Jesus, our Savior paid the ultimate price for us to be redeemed from sin. Like it is said, it is a two-way street. When we choose to be stubborn and stiff-necked to continue in our sinful ways, then it is clear according to the bible, God’s wrath descends like thunder.

We must therefore fear God so that it will be good for us and good for our descendants.

Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus For the shedding of Your Blood to save humanity.

You are worthy To Be Praised! Amen.
