Then I heard, ‘The Devil is a liar; he cannot bring forth anything good’.

What are the other names of the devil in the bible?
In my research on the internet, I found that the bible has called satan at least, 32 different names. But for this write-up, I have chosen to mention a few: He is called a liar, the evil one, the wicked one, the beast, the enemy, the deceiver, the adversary, the accuser, the lawless one, the leviathan, the antichrist, the tempter, the dragon, the thief, the son of perdition, and the fallen star.
If the above are the names of the devil, then it is obvious to me that the devil cannot bring forth anything good and I would want to think all logical people will agree with God’s revelation to me that he is no good and incapable of bringing forth good. He only knows how to Steal, Kill, and Destroy.
The devil’s Business is to Deceive and Destroy Humanity
One writer says ‘He is in the business of deceiving and destroying humanity. He is in the business of promoting sinful ways, sinful attitudes, and sinful lifestyles. He is in the bondage business. He doesn’t want you free…he wants you entangled. He does not want you or your family or your children, grandchildren, or descendants to follow God. He wants you to doubt God and God’s Goodness.
The Bible tells us that at the appointed time, satan will be cast into the lake of fire at the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; into the bottomless pit for 1000 years.
The Lawless one’s Fate is Doomed
If it is this obvious from the devil’s names that he is up to no good, and that the lawless one’s fate is doomed and dreary according to the word of God in the Scriptures, why then is it often difficult for us humans to resist the devil and flee from his obvious destruction?
If the devil’s end is destruction by hell inferno, why do we humans not resist him and flee from his destruction? He cannot bring forth anything good; For God did not design him to bring forth good so that God’s plan for humanity can be accomplished at the appointed time. And from all indications from the bible about the appointed end times, Jesus, the Messiah is coming soon.

In Luke 4, Jesus was tempted by the devil for 40 days, but he got the victory over satan. So, we have a perfect example in Jesus. Our Lord Jesus used several strategies to overcome satan. Find some of them listed below:

BE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
Being led by the Spirit of God means to follow the guidance of the Spirit. It is to be submissive to His will, making His desires the rule of life.
PRAYER AND FASTING
Fasting and praying are about giving up the thing you seek for satisfaction to draw near to God… allowing God to satisfy you. The length of time and what you’re fasting for depends on what you sense God pressing you to do.
THE WORD OF GOD
From the divine point of view, it consists of God revealing something about himself through his spoken word, which is ultimately and perfectly personified in his Son, Jesus Christ. In a broader sense, it designates Scripture itself.
WORSHIP GOD
Worship means respectful devotion—loving, honoring, and obeying God who deserves our highest regard. Worshipping God means acknowledging and celebrating His power and perfection in gratitude. Worship includes understanding and awe of God’s Holiness; we remember how great He is and behave reverently in His Presence
STAND YOUR GROUND
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.” “Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
TESTIFY
Christians use the term “to testify” or “to give one’s testimony” to mean telling the story of how one became a Christian. Commonly it refers to a specific event in a person’s life in which God transformed them or a situation in their life that caused them to believe in Jesus Christ.
HAVE FAITH
Faith means believing and putting your trust in God and having confidence that he will fulfill his promises. Faith is more than intellectual agreement.
The shield of faith is your confidence in God, your confidence in Christ’s victory on Calvary. Jesus defeated the devil and stripped him of all his authority. He said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and earth” (Matthew 28:18). And we are overcomers because greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Ways To Be Prepared for The Coming OF Our Lord Jesus Christ
PRAY
“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41 KJV
BIBLE STUDY
“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” Matthew 22:29 KJV
The Word of God contains all the reminders we need about the end times and the second coming. Every believer must make it their duty to study their Bibles for themselves with the help of the Holy Spirit.
GO TO CHURCH
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25 KJV
I strongly recommend the Catholic Church. This is my opinion please, no offence.
EVANGELIZE
“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17 KJV
While we prepare and await the second coming of Jesus, we must consider other people who are yet to come into the knowledge of Christ.
BE WATCHFUL
“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41 KJV
The world as we know it is coming to an end and this is proven by the different awful events that are occurring in the world.
CONCLUSION
You would have observed that the two sections of my write-up: How To Resist the devil and Preparing For the Coming of Christ are the same. They are the same sides of a coin. If we can resist the devil, it means we are prepared for the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
