A House of Favor Is the Key to The World

eorits

Then I heard, ‘This is the House of Favor; This is the Key to The World; This is the Key to The World; This is the Key to The World’.

I went on to Google to get deeper insights into this revelation.

Before proceeding to my findings in Google, I thought it necessary to list a few synonyms of the word House: home, place of residence, lodging place, a roof over one’s head, residence, dwelling place, abode, and domicile.

I will use House, Home, Residence, and Domicile interchangeably for this write-up. Now that we are clear on the meaning of a house, I will delve into getting a deeper understanding of the word ‘Favor’.

What is the true meaning of Favor?

One reference from the internet describes favor as something done or granted out of goodwill, rather than from justice or for remuneration; a kind act: friendly or well-disposed regard; goodwill: to win the favor of the king- King Jesus.

What is the biblical definition of Favor?

Favor is the Grace of God in our lives. The Old Testament often uses Favor and Grace interchangeably. The definition of Grace is the unmerited Favor of God, and Favor means acceptance, goodwill, and preferential treatment. So, we can’t earn Favor and we are never entitled to it.

What does it mean to find Favor?

Another internet reference describes finding Favor to mean – gaining approval – acceptance – or special benefits – or blessings! There is also a close association between Favor, Grace, and Mercy! Psalm 84:11 – NIV says – ‘For the Lord God is a sun and shield – the Lord bestows Favor and Honor….’

What does Favor mean in Hebrew?

I like the Hebrew definition of Favor very much which I got from my Google search. In the story of the Bible, the Hebrew word khen (meaning “grace” or “favor”) describes a gift given with delight. And this is how God repeatedly gives his Grace—not begrudgingly or out of obligation, but with delight.

I will use one person in the Bible who is the embodiment of the Favor of God to bring a deeper understanding of the word or the concept of Favor.  That person in the Bible who is Highly Favored and the Most Favored of all humans created by God is the Blessed Mother Mary, ever-Virgin, Mother of Our Lord God, Jesus Christ.

The Annunciation

When the Archangel Gabriel visited Holy Mary, the angel said to her, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David, (Luke 1:28-30).

Why was Our Blessed Mother Mary Highly Favored?

Mary was not favored on account of anything she had done; she was favored because God was with her. It’s the same with us. You may be the youngest and the most insignificant believer in the kingdom, but you are as favored as Mary, because the Lord is with you (see Eph. 1:6).

With the above explanations on favor, it is clear to me why the Holy Spirit says a Home of Favor is The Key to the world. A House of Favor is a House where the favor of God abounds. And those who live in that Home are by default beneficiaries of God’s Favor.

Favor The Master Key to The World

Favor is the Master Key to the world which God Almighty delightfully bestows on His Chosen: His Elected. Put differently the Favor of God on a person opens all doors to this great and beautiful world created by God Almighty.

God’s favor on The Blessed Holy Mary, gave her access and right to becoming a Spiritual Vessel through which The Savior, The Redeemer, and The Messiah of the world, came into this World. And Jesus Our Lord God is The Word Made Flesh, The Creator of The World.  All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men (John 1:3).

Our Blessed Mother Mary Ever-Virgin

What a privilege is bestowed by God on Our Blessed Mother Mary Ever-Virgin, to be The Mother of Our Lord God, Jesus: The Creator of The World, who, through Him, All things were made ,and without Him, nothing was made that was made. In Him was Life and The Life was The Light of Men.

Let’s imagine the Honor, Privilege advantage, right, benefit, prerogative, entitlement, birthright, due, concession, freedom, and liberty Our Most Blessed Mother Mary has as the Queen Mother of Our Lord God, Jesus Christ. What a plethora of gifts is bestowed on  ‘The Highly Favored One’.

Queen of Heaven and Earth

This explains why Catholics address The Blessed Holy Mother Mary as, Queen of Heaven and Earth amongst her many other titles. Holy Mary Mother of God has access to The Master Key to Heaven and Earth-King Jesus.

Therefore, out of Mercy and Grace of God, The Holy Spirit is re-affirming to us, the importance of Favor in the lives of believers.  So going back to the title of my write-up, ‘A House of Favor is the Key to the World’ depicts God’s unfathomable Passion for us as Favored children of God.

By this message, The Holy Spirit is confirming that our homes, houses, domiciles, and residences are locations of God’s Favor as believers, and we as occupants, residents, and children of God in favored Homes, are by default, beneficiaries of God’s Favor; the plethora of gifts I mentioned above.

To my mind, with access to the plethora of gifts listed above from God, I see why ‘A House of Favor is The Key to The World’. This means we have access to All of God’s awesome creation for our use and our benefits as favored children of the Most High God.

To conclude, How do we walk in favor with God?

  1. Always ask for Holy Mother Mary’s intercession- this is so powerful because she is our Queen Mother, and the King, Lord Jesus Christ, will never refuse the Queen.
  2. Walk with God intimately – like Enoch.
  3. Be His “friend” – like Abraham.
  4. Strive for obedience – even in difficult circumstances – like Joseph.
  5. Be meek and humble – like Moses.
  6. Desire to do His will – like David.
  7. Seek God’s wisdom above anything else – like Solomon.

Praise God The Father Almighty, Praise God, The Lord Jesus Christ, Praise God, The Holy Spirit.
