In my vision, I saw a cooking pot. In the pot was what appeared to be a broth steaming with some pieces of meat. And shortly after the vision, I heard the voice say, ‘Tell them, tell them far away that we are monitoring them’. I wondered what this vision was about. I said I will look this up later in the day. But I got busy and ended up not checking on Google what the cooking pot meant spiritually. But as I rounded up my day at night with my nightly devotions, the Spirit of God led me to the book of Ezekiel 24. To my amazement, the title of the chapter was ‘The Cooking Pot’.
As I read the Book of Ezekiel, chapter 24, the verses that stuck out to me were Verses 9-14 and I quote:
9 ” ‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: ” ‘Woe to the city of bloodshed! I, too, will pile the wood high. 10 So heap on the wood and kindle the fire. Cook the meat well, mixing in the spices; and let the bones be charred. 11 Then set the empty pot on the coals till it becomes hot and its copper glows, so that its impurities may be melted, and its deposit burned away. 12 It has frustrated all efforts; its heavy deposit has not been removed, not even by fire.
Now Impurity Is Lewdness
13 ” ‘Now your impurity is lewdness. Because I tried to cleanse you, but you would not be cleansed from your impurity, you will not be clean again until my wrath against you has subsided. 14 ” ‘I the Lord have spoken. The time has come for me to act. I will not hold back; I will not have pity, nor will I relent. You will be judged according to your conduct and your actions, declares the Sovereign Lord.’
When I was done reading Ezekiel Chapter 24, I shuddered. God Almighty is indeed running out of patience with us because of the degree of evil that is reigning in these end times. And this is why God said to me in the revelation, ‘Tell them, tell them. We are monitoring them’.
For more understanding of God’s message, The Holy Ghost guided me to investigate two operative words in verse 13, ‘’Now your impurity is lewdness….’. I did as I was led. I went on Google to check out the meaning of lewdness and impurity from a biblical standpoint. Here is what I found:
Indecency or Obscenity
Lewdness means indecency or obscenity: vulgar sexual character or behavior.
Impurity is a common term for sins of lust, whether internal or external. Internal sins of lust are interior thoughts or desires that are not carried out in practice.
What does impurity mean to GOD?
Someone or something common can be either pure or impure, like how a person can be sick or healthy. To be pure is to exist in an ideal state, healthy and whole, but it is not the same as holy. Impurity is like contagion- something that you can come in contact with that makes you impure.
I went further to inquire about ‘who’ is an impure person and what makes us impure.
Who is an Impure person?
Someone tainted, or sullied. In certain religions, persons that are ritually unclean and as such debarred from certain religious ceremonies.
What makes us Impure?
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander. These are what make a man or a woman unclean, but eating with unwashed hands does not make us unclean.
What Is the Spiritual Meaning of Purity?
For someone to be pure at heart, it means their heart is set on one thing and nothing else. It is wholly directed toward one thing. For us to truly be concerned about purity, we must be concerned about where our affections and devotions lie.
What is the meaning of Ezekiel 24:14?
14 ” ‘I the Lord have spoken. The time has come for me to act. I will not hold back; I will not have pity, nor will I relent. You will be judged according to your conduct and your actions, declares the Sovereign Lord.’
My understanding of verse 14, is, that God has run out of patience with us because of our sinful ways. God is warning us by this revelation that a person’s actions are what determines how God will look at them. Although God always looks at a person in love, He cannot tolerate or accept any sin of any type at all.
God holds each person responsible for his actions, both good and bad. But God does not remain angry with His children forever. His anger will always subside after a time because this is the nature of Our God. HE is Loving, Compassionate, and always Forgiving. He has already gone ahead to atone for our sinful ways by sacrificing His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who, by His death atoned for the sins of Mankind.
How Does GOD Purify His People?
In the book of 1 John 1:7&9, I quote ‘But if we walk in the Light, as He is The Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from ALL sin. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Conclusion
So, dear Brothers and Sisters, this is a wake-up call for us All. These are the end times. According to St John in the book of Revelation, Heaven and Hell are real. It is time for everyone to begin to work out his or her salvation with trepidation. Philippians 2: 12-13 reads, ‘Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
I pray that this message touches the hearts of All who read it. We should begin to ask God for His Power, Courage, and Generous Love to descend on us to help us resist sin and overcome the evil one.
